London mayor Sadiq Khan has given his approval to plans by Chelsea Football Club to build a £500m, 60,000-seat stadium at its Stamford Bridge ground.
The new stadium, designed by Herzog & de Meuron, will be the jewel in the capital’s sporting crown, Khan said.
The local authority approved the plans in January.
