Cheshire Homes reveals plans for Manchester PBSA scheme

Cheshire Homes Group has revealed proposals for College View, a purpose-built student accommodation scheme in Manchester.

The site, on the corner of Moss Lane East and Acomb Street, sits within the city’s higher education corridor. It is a 10-15 minute walk to the two universities.

There is currently a three-storey residential building on site, the red brick character of which will be preserved to match the area’s distinctive features.

The scheme, designed by Todd Architects, comprises 169 studios alongside a gym and fitness suite, study area, lobby, lounge, laundry room, and secure cycle storage.

The part-six part-four storey building would be surrounded by a landscaping scheme with a private garden located at the back of the site.

Nido Living will operate the building upon its completion.

Azeem Ali, development director at Cheshire Homes, said: “As Manchester continues to grow as an educational hub, the demand for student accommodation has never been higher.

“With extensive amenities and a focus on sustainability and community, we are confident that this development will offer a living experience that supports both academic and personal growth.”

A consultation on the proposals will be open for the three weeks to 28 July.
