The Cheshire and Warrington Local Enterprise Partnership is seeking “delivery-ready” projects lacking development finance across the subregion for its £9m Growing Places Fund.
The fund offers market loans where finance has been a barrier to delivery, helping fund the Omega (Warrington), Edgewater Park and Tower Wharf schemes.
Projects must have planning permission in place, be fully costed and designed, have repayment exit strategies, and have a delivery team in place.
GVA is managing the search for projects, which ends on 31 July.
GVA director Nicola Rigby said: “The Growing Places Fund has the potential to make a significant difference in the subregion at a time when many proposed schemes are unable to proceed due to capital constraints. We’ve already had great success placing Growing Places funding within high-profile schemes such as Omega, Tower Wharf and Edgewater Park and we hope to be able to continue this momentum to find equally viable projects across a range of sectors, which will create jobs for local people and boost the local economy as a whole.”
