NAI Fuller Peiser has acquired the former Chesterton commercial team in Bristol.
The new Bristol office opened its doors today at Regus’s serviced offices at Broad Quay House on Prince Street.
Chesterton’s former Bristol office, at Embassy House on Queens Avenue, was closed by receiver Grant Thornton on Tuesday.
The new NAI Fuller Peiser team are:
· Paul Matthews, partner and head of office
· David Ferris and David Edwards as investment agency partners
· Nicola Denslow as corporate and professional partner
· Miles Cross and Adam Booth on agency
· Keely Munro as secretary and office manager
Martin Coles, managing partner of NAI Fuller Peiser, said he was in discussion with the receiver on work in progress.
He added: “To us the most important thing is the people. They are key to the clients and have the ability to generate similar work elsewhere. These people have all had numerous other offers.”
The deal does not include Chesterton’s property management staff based in Bristol, who have been taken over as part of Mount Street Holdings’ purchase of the asset management business.
A construction team, retail agency and planning staff in the Bristol office are understood to be negotiating their own separate deals elsewhere.
This is the first time NAI Fuller Peiser has had a presence in the area, which it has previously serviced from Birmingham.
Coles, who cancelled his trip to Cannes for MIPIM after hearing about the receivership, said the firm would be looking for permanent offices in Bristol and plans to further expand the team.
“The office building was on offer, but didn’t fit our plans. It’s not the type of space we’re looking for. It has a fairly short-term lease and we would prefer to take new space,” he said.
