Chestnut £5m investment in Millwall will facilitate redevelopment

Chestnut Hill Ventures has pledged to invest £5m in Millwall in return for a controlling interest in the business. There are plans to redevelop the area surrounding the football club’s ground. Some of the warrants to be granted to Chestnut will be dependent on getting planning permission. Millwall had feared Isle of Man entrepreneur Graham Ferguson Lacey, who increased his stake in the club to 20.07% on Friday, might try to block the deal. 28/03/07 Guardian 34
