Chinese property developer Evergrande is in talks to buy UK housebuilder Cala Homes.
Evergrande contacted the owners of Cala – Legal & General and Patron Capital – several months ago, according to people with knowledge of the matter. The talks are preliminary and may not lead to a deal.
