The number of Chinese companies keen to establish an office in London as a stepping stone to Europe and Africa is three times the number that Think London targeted, the inward investment agency said.
Think London had set a target of 30 positive leads but 95 companies registered a strong interest and allocated a budget to set up a base in London within two years. Nine of those are already working to do so within 12 months.
Think London found London was favourite destination for firms from Russia, Brazil, India and China.
