Chinese owned French chateaux and vineyards are falling into disrepair.
The French news channel CNews has reported that a third of the 150 or so chateaux bought in recent decades by Asian investors, most of them Chinese, had been left to fall into ruin.
Critics have said that the properties were bought as a status symbol, with the new owners less interested in the hard work of maintaining the property and the vines.
