Christian Salvesen (CS) is understood to have signed up for the whole of Gazeley Properties’ 15,583 sq m (167,750 sq ft) Apex distribution centre at Northfield, Milton Keynes in Buckinghamshire.
The rent agreed is around Gazeley’s quoting rent of £56.5 per sq m (£5.25 per sq ft). CS is taking the space on a short-term lease in order to fulfil a contract for House of Fraser group.
US fashion retailer TK Maxx was also looking at Apex. It currently occupies 9,568 sq m (103,000 sq ft) at MK14, Mount Farm, which it took in 1995.
Lambert Smith Hampton and Fuller Peiser are letting agents on Apex.
