Supporters of The Story of Christmas had an opportunity to meet between events at a drinks reception last week.
Bonhams hosted the gathering in its sparkly new premises on London’s New Bond Street. Among the crowd were familiar industry figures, including David McAlpine, Cushman & Wakefield’s Digby Flower, Tony Edgley of Brockton Capital, Andrew Hynard of JLL and Neil Mackilligin of Allsop.
The Story of Christmas is a glittering annual production in Mayfair that attracts celebrities and high-profile guests with the aim of raising money for charity. At the 15 April reception, chief executive Marc Corbett-Weaver described how last year’s event had raised £380,000 to support children’s hospices and several homeless centres in London. This year’s event takes place on Wednesday 17 December at St George’s Hanover Square, W1, and the Dorchester Hotel, W1.
