Circle Housing has bought a 497-home development in Rainham, east London.
The housing association paid £17m to the administrators of St Anne’s Road Properties for the eight-acre scheme on the former Somerfield Depot, which also has permission for a community centre, commercial space and an energy centre.
The site is in Havering’s newly designated Rainham and Beam Park Housing Zone, part of the mayor’s London Riverside Opportunity Area.
