Citigroup has said that allowing staff to permanently work from home has reinvigorated the workforce.
Jane Fraser, Citi’s chief executive, said ditching “anachronistic cultures” had boosted productivity at the Wall Street bank. She added that it would be adopting a hybrid model for most of its 210,000 staff.
Most of the bank’s rivals have spent much of this year trying to encourage workers back to the office.
