Citi’s former bankers: where are they now?

Citi-tower-25-Canada-Square-THUMB.jpegThe four bankers who were made redundant or took voluntary redundancy from Citi in April are in new roles.

Former director Stephanie Aslan has joined Blackstone’s logistics company Logicor as director of capital markets within its finance team, reporting to chief financial officer Bill Starn. She will be involved in the company’s financing and could be part of the team working on the listing of Logicor.

Thomas Jackivicz, a former managing director, is now heading Wells Fargo’s capital markets business, focusing on securitisation and restructuring.

Former director Stuart Hoare is a managing director at CR Investment Management where he has established a new service line for the investment management advisory business. The new facility provides loan brokerage, real estate finance advisory and loan syndication across Europe.

David Smith, a former associate at Citi, is now working at Starwood Capital as an associate sourcing financing for Starwood’s acquisition and refinancing programmes.

Citi took the decision to downsize its team as a result of increasing competition in the debt market and decreased investment volumes. The move was part of a wider-cost cutting exercise.
