The City of London Corporation has appointed Carolyn Dwyer as its new director of built environment.
Dwyer will join the organisation from 19 August. She is joining from the London Borough of Lambeth, where she is currently director of communities, housing and environment, and is closely involved in the Nine Elms partnership.
She also has non-executive roles at the Scottish Futures Trust and Shoreham Port Authority, as well as being a liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Paviors.
John Barradell, town clerk and chief executive of the City of London Corporation, said: “The City’s built environment team is crucial to how we provide a world-leading global business hub in the Square Mile which serves the economy here in London and across the UK. I have every confidence that Carolyn will play a central role in ensuring the City meets the challenge of sustaining its globally competitive position for many years to come.”
