City boutique hotel chain plans oversees expansion and sales

Eton, the operator of the Threadneedles boutique hotel in the City, has put two of its smaller London properties up for sale and is seeking newbackers to fund the group’s expansion oversees.

The company has put its two town house properties on the market.

The Colonnade in Little Venice has a price tag of £10m, while The Academy in Bloomsbury is on the market for £8m.

The proceeds will be used to expand its portfolio of boutique hotels,focusing on two or three in London and potential sites in Barcelona andMadrid.
