Cushman & Wakefield research has shown the City office leasing market is going “from strength to strength”.
City of London firms bought leases on 6.5m sq ft of property during the year overall – just over 50% higher than last year and a third higher than the average over the previous five years. Almost a third of all space in the City this year has been prelet. The commercial property services company said an imbalance between supply and demand for larger units would continue to characterise the market. It expects a further increase in prelets next year.
