A Shoreditch development opportunity which could support a 300,000 sq ft office-led scheme ideally suited to London’s tech sector is being readied for a possible sale.
The City of London Corporation has appointed Allsop to work up options for the former Nicholls & Clarke site at 1 Shoreditch, EC1.
The opportunity consists of three interlinked parcels of land, the first of which has already been granted planning consent by Tower Hamlets for around 95,000 sq ft of new development.
Allsop and the corporation are still considering options for the sites, which could be sold as a single opportunity or in three phases.
The ultimate scheme will incorporate a range of new and old buildings.
One Shoreditch is located in the City fringe area popular with technology companies.
It sits next to Hammerson and Ballymore’s Bishopsgate Goods Yard and opposite Brookfield’s Principal Place.
Formal marketing is likely to begin later this year.
Developers will be invited to bid for an option on the site.
