Clarion Housing Group has appointed Ruth Cooke as its group chief executive.
Cooke (pictured) is currently chief executive of Midland Heart and will join Clarion on 1 April 2018, taking over from chief executive Keith Exford, who is retiring.
Before taking on the chief executive role at Midland Heart in 2012, she was its finance director.
Clarion Housing Group’s chairman, Neil Goulden, said: “Clarion was borne out of the largest merger the housing sector has ever seen and the group is operating at an unprecedented scale with significant ambitions for the future.
“Cooke, along with her colleagues on the Clarion Group Executive team, has the energy, drive and experience to support our commitment to deliver first-class services to our communities, alongside our ambition to build 50,000 new homes over ten years.”
