Clarion approved for Manchester shared ownership scheme

Clarion Housing Group and H2O urban have been granted planning consent for Manchester’s first fully shared ownership scheme.

The £18m development at Store Street in the Piccadilly Basin regeneration area will comprise 66 apartments and townhouses. It rises to 11 storeys, with a roof terrace overlooking the Ashton Canal.

Work is due to start on site in early 2021, with the first homes occupied by the end of 2022.

Richard Cook, group director of development for Clarion Housing Group, said: “This new development will help expand the options available, enabling people to put down roots and make a life for themselves in this vibrant and popular city.”
