Clarion Housing Group has teamed up with Berkeley’s St William arm to deliver the affordable homes at its Prince of Wales Drive development in Battersea, SW8.
St William is the joint venture between National Grid and the Berkeley Group and it is the first time Clarion has worked with either organisation.
Clarion will take 229 homes in the 955-home scheme which is the first of the proposed redundant brownfield sites to be delivered to by St William.
The scheme replaces four decommissioned gasholders and will have 161 homes for shared ownership and 68 homes for intermediate rent. It is sited between Battersea Park and Battersea Power Station.
Philip Browne, new business and partnerships director for Clarion Housing Group said: “We are excited to be part of this ambitious and innovative project which is breathing life back into disused industrial sites across London and the South East.”
