Swedish hardware chain Clas Ohlson is to close seven UK stores, more than half of its outlets here, as it looks to improve the profitability of its UK operations.
The company’s stores in Doncaster, Cardiff, Norwich and Watford will close over the next year. Other closures remain subject to negotiations.
Clas Ohlson remains committed to the UK, its president, Klas Balkow, said, adding that it plans to open one or two smaller stores in the London area this year.
