Clooney causes privacy concerns among Oxfordshire neighbours

Plans by actor George Clooney to install CCTV cameras at his Grade II listed home in Sonning Eye, in Oxfordshire, has caused consternation among fellow residents who are concerned about potential privacy issues.

Clooney has applied for planning permission for 10 cameras on the actual building and a further eight on poles of up to six metres in height in the grounds.

The parish council of Eye and Dunsden said the cameras could potentially be an infringement of privacy, however the conservation officer at South Oxfordshire council is recommending approval be granted.
