One of Marks & Spencer’s clothing suppliers, Claremont Garments, has confirmed plans to cut 500 jobs after margin pressure hit interim profits. The redundancies include 700 at its Glasgow factory which it plans to close following a review that will lead to a £6m restructuring charge.
