CLS Care Services has sold 18 care homes in Cheshire to Croftwood Care Group.
The 683-bed portfolio was put up for sale for £25m through Colliers International.
Croftwood Care (Cheshire) is part of the Minster Care Group, a national family-run care provider with over 80 homes. It has bought 10 of those from CLS.
CLS is both rebranding, to become Belong Ltd, and refocusing its operations to its Belong Villages model, which it started in 2007 and which is being developed around the needs of people with dementia.
Rachel McCarthy, director at Colliers International, said: “This sale demonstrates there is still strong demand for well-performing, regional care home groups, where there are established relationships with local care commissioners, long-serving staff and good reputations in the local communities.”
