CLS is drawing up plans for a major mixed-use development in Vauxhall, SE11.
The plans for Citadel Place, also known as Spring Gardens, include between 180 and 200 homes, a 450-bed student accommodation scheme, new shops and communal open spaces.
The existing site, which is the largest asset in CLS’s portfolio, is currently made up of low-rise office buildings built in the 1990s. Four of the buildings are set to become vacant in 2026.
Fredrik Widlund, chief executive at CLS, said: “Citadel Place represents our commitment to sustainable urban development. We envisage a place where people can live and thrive; supporting the community within Vauxhall.
“CLS has operated and invested in the Vauxhall area for over 35 years and continues to work closely with the London Borough of Lambeth, residents and the local business community and we are excited to now start on the next phase of development.”
Architect Allies and Morrison has been appointed to design Citadel Place. Public consultation on the plans opens on 18 July, with a planning application expected to be submitted early next year.
