CLS wins double London project approval

CLS Holdings has secured detailed planning consent for two projects in London.

The firm’s plans for a 10-storey office providing 28,500 sq ft of grade A office space, a south-facing roof terrace and café at 92-98 Vauxhall Walk, SE11, have been approved by Lambeth Council.

The City of London Corporation has also given consent for a refurbishment of 9 Prescot Street, E1. The scheme will reconfigure the main entrance to create a new central reception and café salon, as well as extend the roof terrace, enhance the shower and cycle facilities and replace the lifts and windows.

The 55,600 sq ft office accommodation, from the lower ground to the third floor – previously occupied by Barts Health NHS Trust for 16 years – will also been given a CAT A fit-out.

Simon Wigzell, head of group property at CLS, said: “During this challenging time, we have remained focused on our occupier’s requirements throughout the design process. All the buildings will have fully openable windows, air quality monitoring, photovoltaics, rooftop terraces, cycle storage, lockers, showers and break-out café reception facilities. By focusing on sustainability, health and wellbeing we are creating places people will want to work from.”
