Club Med has unveiled plans to renovate 13 villages in North America, as part of its 305m (FFr2bn) world investment plan to appeal to the younger end of the market.
The North American market currently accounts for only 15% of the company’s revenue. However with a 11.25m ($12m) marketing and advertising budget to relaunch its image, Club Med hopes to see it rise to 20% when it increases its holdings to 18 villages.
Philippe Bourguignon announced the company’s plans at the Sandpiper holiday village in Florida last weekend.
