Cluttons predicts a worsening office market in Victoria, central London, during 1997 as the government releases 24,154 sq m (260,000 sq ft) of surplus accommodation onto the market.
At the same time, quality offices will become available with completion of 19,323 sq m (208,000 sq ft) of new accommodation and the proposed redevelopment of Victoria railway station and Hobart House.
This follows a flat year in 1996 characterised by continued overhang of second-hand space, static availability and limited turnover.
