Addington has signed US business news channel CNBC for a new studio and multimedia hub in the City of London.
Addington manages 10 Fleet Place, EC4, on behalf of Hong Kong’s Vervain Resources. Last year, Estates Gazette revealed talks between the asset manager at CNBC that would see the channel move from the sixth floor of the building to the first, which will be redeveloped as a studio.
When a change of use application was filed with the City of London Corporation last year, Rolfe Judd Planning said a deal with CNBC would be “a significant vote of confidence in the City of London as a centre for media and business broadcasting”.
David Dalrymple, principal at Addington, said: “Having a multimedia hub here, including a studio and the ancillary offices, will increase the visibility and vitality of the building, in this attractive Central London square.”
