CO-RE has bolstered its team with the recruitment of former British Land development manager George Axson as an associate director.
Axson worked as a development manager for British Land on its refurbishment of 135 Bishopsgate, EC2, and its plans for the redevelopment of 1-2 Broadgate, EC2.
Prior to this he spent nearly 12 years as a project director at M3 Consulting. He also worked as a project manager at Gleeds for more than five years.
At CO-RE Axson will provide the firm’s blue-chip clients with strategic advice, as well as lead project teams on feasibility studies, complex planning applications and construction delivery.
CO-RE has several notable projects in its pipeline, including the redevelopment of ITV’s former studios on the South Bank with Mitsubishi Estate London, the refurbishment of 280 Bishopsgate, EC2, on behalf of CBRE Global Investors, the redevelopment of former River Court, SE1, on behalf of Chinese Estates, and Linklaters’ new headquarters at 20 Ropemaker, EC2, with Old Park Lane Management.
David Ainsworth, chief executive of CO-RE, said: “As we continue to expand our business, George’s experience and calibre make him an ideal associate director and project manager for our growing roster of major projects. Whilst these are certainly unprecedented times, our focus remains on delivering the best offices that London has to offer.”
