Cole Waterhouse lodges plans for Brum resi and skypark

Cole Waterhouse has submitted a full planning application for a £260m residential-led scheme and a skypark in Digbeth, Birmingham.

Plans for Upper Trinity Street comprise 900 homes, with a mix of private sale and build-to-rent, a 133-bedroom hotel and 6,000 sq ft of retail, leisure uses and workspace.

The hotel will overlook a new proposed skypark on Duddeston Viaduct and a new public park called Pump House Park.

It will be the Manchester-based developer’s first scheme in Birmingham.

Chief executive Damian Flood said: “Our vision is to create a new neighbourhood right in the heart of Digbeth and neighbourhoods need communities, culture and connectivity to thrive and prosper.”

Cole Waterhouse will seek funding for the development as it progresses through planning.

Barton Willmore advised on the planning application.
