Colliers revenues up 11%

Colliers-International-logo-new-2014-THUMB.jpegColliers International’s second-quarter revenues have increased by 11% year-on-year to $409m (£261m), with the EMEA region generating 25% of the total.

EMEA saw strong growth through its lease brokerage and sales arms, particularly in the UK, pushing total revenues to $105m, up from $71m for the same quarter in 2014.

EBITDA for the region rose by 95% to $17.8m mainly owing to the acquisition of businesses in France and other countries and the operating leverage of the UK business.

For Colliers globally, EBITDA for the six months to the end of June was up 22%, led primarily by the outsourcing and advisory business, its biggest arm, with a 39% share of revenues for the half year.

Lease brokerage was up 18% in the year to date and was down in the share of revenue for the company, in keeping with the Colliers’ strategic direction of seeking more non-transactional revenues.

The spin-off of the business from FirstService was completed on 1 June, which added $13.1m in extra costs for the quarter as well as another $35.4m in stock-based compensation.
