Colliers welcomes former C&W France chief into the fold

Colliers International has appointed Antoine Derville, formerly Cushman & Wakefield’s head of France, as its new chief executive for France and Belgium.

He replaces Giles Betthaeuser, who will become chairman. Betthaeuser will remain a shareholder of Colliers’ France operations, and will focus on strategic consultancy, major projects and client service in his new role.

Derville was previously a member of C&W’s EMEA executive committee. He has also held senior roles at CBRE, BNP Paribas and Ernst & Young.

Chris McLernon, EMEA chief executive at Colliers International, said Derville’s experience “will be of enormous importance for our business in our next stage of growth”.

Derville said: “It is a huge privilege to take the reins of Colliers in France and Belgium at such an important time for our industry.

“My priorities are to strengthen our presence among investors and deliver new value creation that will benefit all of our clients and experts.”

C&W appointed Barbara Koreniouguine as Derville’s replacement in October. Koreniouguine was previously chief executive of Allianz Real Estate for France and Benelux.
