Collins Stewart/CNC buy mixed-use Welsh portfolio

Collins Stewart Property Fund Management and CNC Properties have paid £4.1m for a mixed-use portfolio in Merthyr Tydfil.

The portfolio comprises 150,000 sq ft (13,930 sq m) of retail, two multi-storey office buildings, leisure and residential properties.

Tenants of the Glebeland Street and Upper High Street buildings include Lloyds TSB, J D Wetherspoon which is one of six pubs in the portfolio acquired from private investors.

In a separate deal, again with a private owner, CSPFM and CNC have acquired the 5-storey, 10,000 sq ft Castle House office building in the town for £1m.

Tenants include Pearsons, Merthyr Tydfil County Borough Council, Action 4 Employment and Working Links.

Fletcher Morgan, which acted for CSPFM and CNC, are retained as letting agents.
