Aegon Asset Management and Abstract Land have submitted detailed proposals for a £30m redevelopment of prime Birmingham office block, 55 Colmore Row.
Plans include extending the rooftop to include a new 20,000 sq ft floor of offices, adding in ground floor shops and a basement restaurant.
The pair also plan to improve the listed Victorian frontage, reconfigure the existing floors and create an entrance foyer incorporating the historic 1870s-built banking hall.
Once redeveloped, the 128,500 sq ft building will comprise 153,000 sq ft of grade-A, BREEAM excellent space.
Architect Aedas, with planning consultancy GW Planning, have designed the scheme. Knight Frank and Colliers International are joint agents on the building.
