Columbia Threadneedle seeks buyer for Manchester office block


Columbia Threadneedle has appointed Metis Real Estate to find a new owner for the Grade I listed former Bank of England building in Manchester city centre.

Offers are sought over £30m, reflecting a net initial yield of 7.2%.

The office block, at 82 King Street, spans 80,326 sq ft. It provides a 2,800 sq ft entrance hall and the 14-storey office comprising 6,000 sq ft floorplates.

The building currently serves as a home to Channel 4, AXA, Zeus Capital and Rothschild & Co, with an average rent just below £30 per sq ft.
