Commercial landlords warn on London office-to-home conversions

Commercial landlords are calling on candidates in next year’s mayoral election to reverse a government policy that has seen 4.4m sq ft of central London commercial space lost in the rush to convert offices into homes.

Changes to rules to facilitate the conversion of offices into homes are temporary, but the expectation is that the government will make them permanent.
