London’s commuter belt and its cheapest boroughs will be the biggest beneficiaries of George Osborne’s stamp duty reforms.
Research for the FT by Hometrack has shown that lower-priced, less-glamourous markets in the southeast have the highest proportion of homes that will benefit. Properties priced between £275,000 to £350,000 will see the biggest cuts in stamp duty relative to their value.
