Hong Kong’s Compass Offices has secured 9,131 sq ft on a 10-year lease at Schroders’ City Tower in Manchester.
The premium serviced office provider will pay £21.50 per sq ft on the 13th floor, representing a new headline rent for the mid-level floors of the building.
With more than 50 offices across 10 countries, the deal marks Compass’s first entry in the UK market.
Schroders bought the 28-storey tower in Piccadilly Gardens in May 2014.
Remaining available space is being refurbished, with lettings available from 700 sq ft to 9,000 sq ft.
Existing occupiers at the grade-A offices include Indian outsourcing firm Aegis and architects Sheppard Robson.
Colliers International and CBRE advised Schroders.
