Completion of Solihull Land Rover plant will increase output to 400,000 vehicles a year

The Land Rover plant at Solihull will be transformed into a coherent 121.41 ha(300 acre) site capable of building up to 400,000 vehicles a year in December. That is when 700 construction workers complete construction at the new plant .

BMW has confirmed the approval of a £300m project for a new “baby” vehicle to fit below the Range Rover, Discovery and Defender in Land Rover’s range.

The new plant completes Solihull’s £750m redevelopment over the past five years.
