Highcross has been granted planning permission for a 8,000 sq ft retail complex adjacent to its Portsmouth office block.
Central Square will be made up of two pavilions, comprising seven units for shops and restaurants, as part of a £2m scheme.
The site, at Lakeside north harbour business park, will be linked to Highcross’ 1000 Lakeside office building via a fabric canopy.
One of the retail units, which are due for completion in 2012, has already been prelet to The Southern Co-operative.
