Construction starts on London’s Eastern Quay

Construction has begun on George Wimpey Central London’s Eastern Quay. The scheme is the most recent residential phase of the massive Royal Victoria Docks redevelopment, E16. The glass-fronted, 12-storey waterside building comprises 73 apartments, which are expected to sell for £260,000-£400,000. Four floors at Eastern Quay have been released and 18 apartments have been purchased off-plan. The development is situated close to the 3.5-acre (1.4ha) site that Barratt bought for £20m from MWB at the beginning of August and which has planning consent for 671 homes.

Eastern Quay was used as one of the locations from the opening action sequences of the James Bond film The World Is Not Enough.
