Consultancy behind Battersea Power Station rebrands for development push

The real estate consultancy that advised the Battersea Power Station Development Company and helped reposition San Francisco’s Transamerica Pyramid has rebranded ahead of a push into its own mixed-use developments.

Wordsearch Place has changed its name to MurrayTwohig, which co-founder David Twohig said comes at an “inflection point” for the business as it looks to expand its strategy work at the same time as developing its own projects from offices in London, Dublin and Toronto.

Since it was set up in 2018, the business has advised on schemes spanning more than 300m sq ft and project value of over $200bn (£147.7bn), including London’s Earls Court, the Sony Center in Berlin, Glass Bottle in Dublin and Chicago’s Lincoln Yards.

Clients include Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan, Tishman Speyer and Related Group.

Co-founder William Murray said: “The current development system is no longer fit for purpose. The 20th century model is a combustion engine in an electric age. MurrayTwohig is firmly a 21st century business – responding to the issues and opportunities of this century, not the last.”
