Cool response to Willmotts

Willmotts’ sale on November 26 produced a disappointing response. Just 45% of the 29 lots offered by auctioneer Christopher Chopping sold, raising £744,750. The catalogue contained a variety of residential lots located throughout the Greater London area.

Deals include: a vacant, freehold three-bedroom house at 76 Pendle Road, SW16, entered by Wandsworth council, which sold for £65,500; a freehold four-storey house offered with mainly vacant possession and producing £2,600 pa at 83 Rosendale Road, SE21, which fetched £85,000; the 43-year leasehold interest in a two-bedroom flat at 28 East Vale, W3, which went for £25,000; and the 54-year leasehold interest in a studio flat at 62 Stamford Court, Goldhawk Road, W6, which sold for £30,000.

Highest price of the day was achieved on 37 Lebanon Park, Twickenham in Middlesex. Offered with full vacant possession, the three-storey freehold property with large garden to the rear was knocked down at £219,000.
