The public inquiry into Land Securities Coppergate Riverside shopping centre in York looks set to run over by up to five weeks – adding hundreds of thousands of pounds to the legal bill being footed by the taxpayer.
The delays emerged this week as Sir Bernard Ingham joined local conservation groups in voicing his anger at the £60m scheme.
