Cheshire-based contractor-developer Copperleaf Group has submitted an outline planning application for the £40m redevelopment of the former Dorma factory site in Chinley, Derbyshire.
Plans for the 28-acre site, designed by planning consultancy Hourigan Connolly, comprise 25,000 sq ft of employment space, 182 homes, a children’s nursery and public space.
Mark Whylie, managing director of Copperleaf, said: “This is an exciting opportunity to secure the regeneration of this site, which has lain derelict since the factory closed in 2005.”
