Cornerstone has hired Valeria Falcone from Carlyle Group to head its Italian business.
Falcone joins Cornerstone as it expands its coverage to Italy, Spain and France.
In her new role Falcone will be responsible for investing in real estate in Italy and also raising capital for Cornerstone’s debt and equity products across the globe.
At Carlyle, Falcone was managing director and head of Italy, a role she held since 2011.
In all she spent 11 years with the US fund acquiring both residential and commercial properties and overseeing the asset management of the portfolio.
Before that Falcone was with Pirelli & C Real Estate for three years and prior to that Citibank.
