Cornerstone Real Estate Advisers has made a double letting at Hays House in Guildford, Surrey.
The investment manager has let 7,468 sq ft of space to engineering consultancy Mott MacDonald at £27 per sq ft for 10 years. The firm had originally leased 3,366 sq ft of space.
Cornerstone also managed to re-let 1,780 sq ft of space to Flexeye at £28.50 per sq ft following its temporary departure from the building during refurbishment works.
Cornerstone acquired the asset in 2012 and then fully refurbished the offices, redesigned the external space, added an extension to the rear of the building and improved facilities within the building.
Ian Mayhew, director, UK asset management at Cornerstone Europe, said: “We have made significant improvements to Hays House and it’s great to see this pay off in the form of strong occupier demand and, in this case, repeat interest by existing tenants. Guildford is a popular town in itself but lacks grade A space, so we’re pleased Hays House is able to offer offices of this level to the local market.”
