Ferzan Zola has submitted outline plans for Cornwall’s first purpose-built hotel and conference centre to Restormel borough council.
Should outline planning consent be awarded, a developer will be sought for the £18m scheme, which will cover a 6ha (15-acre) site owned by Ferzan Zola at Victoria on the A30, mid-way between the Eden project and Newquay Airport.
Architect Nigel Blackman of Lacey Hickie Caley said the scheme was one of a growing number of bolt-on facilities that are springing up around the
Eden development.
The complex will feature a conference and exhibition centre, 160-bed four-star hotel, 300-seat restaurant, bar and fitness suite, and swimming pool. There will also be a large linear lake to attract wildlife.
