A Dorset borough council has bought the IMAX cinema on Bournemouth seafront so it can knock it down.
The council paid £7.5m to buy the building voted Britain’s most hated in a Channel 4 poll.
The 12-year-old cinema blocks a view across the bay to the Purbeck Hills.
